Silver 90% Bag - $100 Face Value
Before 1965, U.S. dimes and quarters were composed of 90% silver and 10% copper.
A $100 silver bag contains approximately 71.5 troy ounces of silver. While 40% silver bags are available, the more common type is the 90% silver bag.
In the marketplace, these silver bags are often referred to as “junk silver.” This term doesn't reflect the silver's quality but indicates the coins have been removed, or "junked," from circulation.
